World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 21 Global Challenge and World Vision have united to raise funds for clean, safe water, for those without the resources.
World Vision is the charity of choice for this global race, encouraging participants to run and fundraise to contribute to the collective global effort to ensure access to water and sanitation for all by 2030.
The first of its kind, World Vision is supporting this event to encourage individuals, on a global scale, to run for a reason.
Globally, around one in 10 people lack access to a safe water source and up to two billion people living in the world’s toughest regions have no access to basic toilets.
Clean, safe water is essential. But for almost 800 million people it’s out of reach.
World Vision reaches one new person with clean water every 10 seconds because of the work done across the globe.
The World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 21 Global Challenge partnership encourages individuals and teams, with participants being encouraged to fundraise for this cause as a part of their events.
Participants of the race can be confident that their efforts are internationally recognised and supported by one of the largest charitable organisations across the globe.
As you step forward on your journey, you will help reach the world’s most vulnerable children and their communities with the water and sanitation services they need to lead healthier more fulfilled lives.
This major cross-country event focuses on providing opportunities for athletes of all fitness levels to compete against each other, on a global scale.
These organisations will deliver this online event, starting on 1 February until 21 March using the Race Roster registration and virtual experience platform, which was acquired by ASICS in October 2019.
