Your Safety is our Priority.

You can complete your run anywhere at anytime. Safety is your responsibility and it is essential that you consider a number of aspects prior to commencing your run.

When participating in the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 21 Global Challenge, please ensure you select a safe route to run, and take extra special care around traffic and off road running. You might also like to consider when you run that some running routes are busy on weekends. Additionally, ensure there is adequate lighting if you choose to run during evening/early morning periods.

Global Challenge

COVID-19 Safety.

Whilst participating in the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 21 Global Challenge, you MUST comply with your country’s COVID-19 Regulations. 

Please ensure before you commence your run, you are aware and comply with all local COVID-19 regulations. You can find the latest regulation at your federal or local government websites. Ensure you practice good hygiene, maintain social distancing and don’t participate if you are feeling unwell.

Global Challenge Rules

All rules are enforced and must be adhered to by all World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 21 Global Challenge participants. 

Parental Permission

Each persons under 14 must have parental permission through signing up to enter.

GPS Tracking

Each participant must run the nominated distance using a GPS device and this uploaded with your result. We recommend RunKeeper, which is available from Apple and Android App stores. 

Gradient Maximums

Gradients cannot exceed 50 meters in downhill through the overall distance of a participants run.

Finish Line

The finish location must not exceed more than 50% from the finish line ( as a crow flies) of the total distance run. I.e. if you run 5km the finish cannot be more than 2.5 km away from the start.

Result Ratification

Times for the top 10 from each individual division and age group as well as teams will be ratified by Official Administration who have discretion if they feel someone hasn’t followed the outlined procedure or process.

COVID-19 Regulations

All participants must compete in line with the various COVID-19 regulations in place in your jurisdiction. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Terms and Conditions

All participants will agree to other terms and conditions in the waiver section of the registration portal.
