About the Global Challenge Relay
There is more to the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 21 Global Challenge than just running as an individual.
Grab a team of 4 and enter the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 21 Global Challenge Relay. With an open, 13 – 19 years and U12 age groups there is truly something for everyone.
Four (4) participants make a relay team. Each runs the prescribed distance separately and logs their performance. The four participants times are added together, and teams are ranked on their total time! Easy.
You can enter your team as male (all men) female (all women) or mixed (mixture of men and women participants). Each member of the relay team must be from the same country. Relay teams will be ranked globally, based on your continent/region, and based on your home country.
Distances and Age Groups
Participants can be any age. The team could be a club team, university/college, a corporate business team, or just a group of friends.
Distance: 10km for each runner
Participants must all be aged 13 years-19 years old (born 2002-2008 inclusive) The team could be a school team, club team, or just a group of friends.
Distance: 5km for each runner.
Participants must all be 12 or under (born 2009 or later). The team could be a school team, club team, or just a group of friends.
Distance: 2km for each runner.
